Everyday life would be quite difficult if you had no knowledge of maths whatsoever.  On a basic level you need to able to count your money, multiply, subtract and divide.  You need a knowledge of maths if you want to do some DIY at home, to work out how much material to buy for a job.  More advanced mathematics is essential if you take up any kind of  technical career such as engineering.  Working on algebra and geometry also helps with reasoning skills and assists later in life with technical problem solving.  Living your day to day life without maths would be extremely difficult.  Even if you were a nomad in the desert you would want to count your goats wouldn't you?

There are lots of real uses of mathematics in our life. All the mathematics terms base on counting.
Today our all businesses base on counting. There is no concept of business without mathematics.
Before the mathematics rules people use barter system. They give there goods to others and take the goods from other people. But this system can not continue longer when need of humans increased day by day.
We cannot deny the importance of mathematics in our daily life. When we got to shop to purchase some thing we need mathematics.
When some one comes to our shop to purchase some thing we need calculations.
But the most important use of mathematics in our technologies can not be contradicted. Our most of the system base on computers and all the computer technology are stands on mathematical rules. All computers work on binary code, code of zero and one.
So we cannot deny the importance of mathematics in real life.

From poor to rich , all have to some how use mathematics in their real lives. Consider a housewife, who has to run her house in the given budget. In the earliest civilization, barter-system was used. Now-a-days, all day to day transactions in a multi-national or national companies involve mathematical operations .

Mathematics is a tool through which we can solve real, daily problems. For example, if I want to construct a bungalow, problems include how to construct it? How much area will it occupy? How many rooms can be put up? Size of each and every space? How much material will be mandatory? Construction cost?

Mathematics help us to get solve such problems.

In high school I ask myself a lot,when it came to word problems and putting letters with numbers I just thought what's the use and actually guessed or skipped them kind of questions.Come to find out that is one of the biggest things in my career.I'm no genius by no means,but overall mathematics for those interested,helps you become a better thinker for all areas of life because of all the variables that are involved.

There are many different kinds of maths you use every day. Ever throw a ball, that includes geometry, inertia, spacial calculations, and so on.
If you walk; geometry, friction, and again spacial relationship are used.
While shopping; adding, subtracting, algebra and multiplication are employed.

Without math, one would not be able to function in the REAL world.  We use math to purchase things we want, we use math to measure, tell time and so on.  We all need the basics but having a more advanced knowledge in math such as geometry, algebra and metric system always helps. As they say knowledge is 'priceless.'

To clarify further my point of view about the topic, let me take an example.
Imagine we are in the Stone Age and you have some pet animals (like horses, donkeys or any boarding animal) to carry wood on them for fire.
One day when there is intense cold and you need extra stack of wood as compare to normal need, for that reason you need more animals to carry extra woods. Now how can you estimate  how many more animals you need to bear an extra stack of wood?
Here mathematics plays a vital role and can help you to figure out how many extra animals you need to have for extra stack of wood that you need to spend that intense cold day.

Mathematics is used as a problem solver in every field of science. Mathematics is playing a very important role in our daily lives. In fact mathematics is involved directly or indirectly wherever we go and every thing that we may use.

Since you must be using a personal computer or notebook or mobile phone with GPRS for reading my answer so whatever sources you might be using for accessing internet is based on the mathematics. Your communication device must have some computing speed, amount of memory, storage space etc so without mathematics it will not be possible for us to know even about the resources our computing device has got.

It's a very simple application and example of mathematics. Another very simple application is calendar year. How we know that today is Tuesday? It was Friday on May 13, 2007? It's actually mathematics that gives/provides us all this information.

How we know that if travel at 60 miles per hour it'll take us 3 hours to reach from city A to city B? Again it's another application of mathematics.

Mathematics is very important and you do not know when you will need them.  I didn't pay enough attention to my maths lessons and i really regret that now.  My first job, i never really needed maths but now i use them everyday in my new job.  Excel is a great place to get a computer to do your maths for you!  But you will use maths when you go to buy fruit from the shop all the way through to checking your bank statements every month.

Maths help engineer in making different shapes with geometrical shape the structure of the building was not possible. The beauty of maths is not only around us but a strong know how of maths help us in every day life too. Just start looking around you and you will find that how maths is help full to you in your life.

Better yet, just think if it weren't for maths becoming harder over the years we wouldn't have  confusion. We think we get bored now- everything would become so dull it would become monotonous and very "hum-drum" boring.

I use maths every day. When I am making my monthly budget, when I am even playing a video game on my computer, or writing my script programs. I used to ask that same question when I was attending school. But now I know. We are never without maths.

In the real life mathematics has great benefits for us like we can calculate easily and if we don't know about maths we can not calculate easily. We go on a shop for purchasing and the seller tells us the price of a thing like the price of bathing soap is Rs. 9. and if we give him Rs. 10. we will back us Rs. 01. This is possible through mathematics.

You may find ourself wondering what use we have for some of the knowledge we obtain from math class in school. Although i will say that often i wonder taht myself, i reassure myself that almost everything learned in the past has become of use to me and why would this specific incidence be any differently..? But its true think about it... The geometry used to createeven just the wheels on your car.. Or the amount of adding, subrating and multiplying you do just on the weekly shopping trip. When you balance your checkbook or just when your keeping track of your credit card, it all requires math, not to mention hundreds of things and beyond that i nor the other people here have commented on. The application of  maths is seen every moment, right from the moment we wake up from bed in the morning till the moment we again go back to  bed at night.As soon as we wake up, we first of all give a big yawn-that makes us think for how long we have yawned?--3 to 5 seconds?Here maths comes!Again when we look at the clock, we realise how late we have got up!--8:30 a.m!Here the part called Time of mathematics is put to focus.Even when we brush our teeth, we should know how much amount of toothpaste we must use--it's written on the tubes that children below the age of 6 years should use only a pea-sized amount of it.Again, we must keep a track of how much time we have to take to brush our teeth.Then comes the time of studying..we keep a regular routine of how long we must study a particular subject and i often hear my mom saying me."You must keep a little extra time for Maths and Science.."Then comes bathing---we take a certain amount of water  which we can count in litres.Now if i have to go on saying for the whole day about the use of maths in real life, i would not be able to complete it in a day!The list is endless!
