Yes, sadly. Elvis was unfortunately prescribed, and was taking, massive amounts of prescription pills and other medications. The King also previously suffered a colon blockage. He simply didn't take care of himself.
The evening of his death, Elvis played racket ball all night until about 6:30 in the morning, where he then went to drop a deuce, accompanied with some reading material. Since the King's bowels had not been moved for some time (according to coroner), it was assumed that he had been straining on the toilet for a period of time. He was found in the afternoon, on the floor, with his pants down, in a puddle of his own vomit. He may have been dead as early as 9:00am.
