Meet The Team
Blurtit.com's success is thanks to our millions of users worldwide who contirbute by asking and answering questions. It has also been made possible thanks to our highly talented team who work hard behind the scenes:
-
Tim O'Shea
Managing Director
Tim studied Engineering at Oxford University. Since graduating in 1995 he has enjoyed a variety of interesting career roles - from a 'Trek Travel Leader' organizing trekking expeditions all over the world, to working specifically with online/Internet sources. He went on to create Mindcom and soon began work creating an impressive online question and answer community. In 2006 his hard work paid off and Blurtit.com was born.
As Managing Director, Tim works closely with Kathryn Wright, to ensure the company is following the right strategy and engaging with Business Development. Tim's vision is an instantaneous high quality question-based search, and he is striving for this through the ongoing development of Blurtit.com and a host of other new Q&A opportunities.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his family who are local to Norfolk. He's also a keen Kite-Surfer and Skier.

Kathryn Wright
Project Manager
Kathryn is responsible for the hands-on management of Blurtit.com. She gained 9 years of experience in customer service and sales
prior to joining Blurtit a year ago. It is with this experience that she is able to quickly spot the developments which need to
take place in order to ensure that Blurtit.com does exactly what you Blurters need it to.
Outside of Blurtit, Kathryn like to go to the gym, canoe and shop for expensive shoes!
-
John Swindells
Lead Developer
John manages the Blurtit.com Web Development team to ensure all Blurters have the best experience of the site as possible.
He is an amazing programmer and since 2004 he has worked closely with the team, managing and engineering solutions to ensure an
effective and up-to-date website is always available.
John's spare time is mainly focussed on his family. He's also passionate about the Norfolk Countryside - enjoying the outdoors, cycling and walking.
-
Adam Groom
Senior Developer
Adam joined the Blurtit.com Web Development team just over a year ago. Having worked for larger companies, Adam brings great insight
to the team and new ways to keep Blurtit ahead of the competition. He is a great programmer and since joining has taken the reigns. Through
working closely with the team Adam focusses on generating solutions to ensure Blurtit.com is fast and effective to use.
Adam's spare time is mainly focussed on his family. Adam enjoys playing online gaming, playing the guitar and developing music discovery applications.
-
James Mackay
Web Developer
Having worked with us since 2008, James is one of the front end developers for Blurtit.com, ensuring that the site is as usable as possible for all
you Blurters. He works hard to implement suggestions for improvements from other members of the team. James is always on the ball with what is new
and inspiring within the design and development world.
Outside of Blurtit, James loves spending time with his family. In his spare time James likes to play computer games, watch films and listen to music.
-
Ian joined the Blurtit team 3 years ago as a graduate and since then has come to understand Blurtit inside out. Ian is responsible for the stability
of Blurtit, testing the site and checking back-ups to minmise downtime so it is always available to Blurters all
over the World. Ian also implements many of the new changes that you see happening on Blurtit.com.
When Ian isn’t working he loves spending time with his family, reading about science and technology, listening to music and being the DIY expert in his household.
-
Gayle Millward
Accounts Manager
Gayle is Blurtit's Accounts Manger and works hard looking after our finances. Since starting with us in 2006, she has ensured that our business continues to spend wisely in order to grow.
When Gayle isn't working, she spends her time looking after her three dogs, her chickens and rabbits and breeding Alpacas (an animal a bit like a Llama). In addition to all of this, Gayle has a new baby girl to tend to. What a busy lady!
