Where did the title of the site "Blurit" came from. Did it represent the words "Blur it"?

I think it was meant more like BLURT IT out ! Like answering a question, you just blurt out the words for the answer. I could be wrong though.

It was the best of what was left after everyone else had used more obvious words for a Q&A website, I suspect. It did allow the use of the word "blurter" - users were "baby blurters" if they had only answered a few questions, and "senior blurters" if they had answered a lot - there were various shades in between too. You also got points for being an early answerer (no matter HOW bad the answer was) and points in categories too (I got my early extra points for answering travel questions).

I think it comes from "blur" and "tit"; it was originally a site where people worked on censoring pornography.
