How Many 4-inch By 8-inch Bricks Are Needed To Build A Walk 6 Feet Wide And 24 Feet Long?

I am new to Blurtit and would like to ask questions but I am not sure how to fill in the ask question section on the site itself.

The area of the bricks is 32 sq in
convert the area of the walk from feet to inches.

    So 6 ft = 72 inches by
    24 feet = 288 inches

    the area of walk = 72in x 288 in = 20736 in/sq

    20736/32 = 648 bricks

      Each brick is (1/3 ft)*(2/3 ft) = 2/9 ft2. The walk is (6 ft)*(24 ft) = 144 ft2.

      144 ft2 = (144 ft2)(1 brick/(2/9 ft2) = 144(9/2) bricks = 72*9 bricks = 648 bricks.

Both the 6' and the 24' dimensions are evenly divisible by (2/3)', so the orientation of the bricks doesn't matter, and there are no cuts or leftovers. Of course, this calculation does not allow for anything to be put between the bricks, nor does it allow for rejects or breakage.

        The width of the walk is 6 ft = (6 ft)(3 brick/ft) = 18 brick.
        The length of the walk is 14 ft = (24 ft)(1 brick/(2/3 ft)) = 24*3/2 brick = 36 brick.

The total number of brick needed is 18*36 brick = 648 brick.

The area of brick becomes 32 square inches and the area of walk becomes 144 square inches. So the bricks required are:
        144/32 = 4.5
        5 bricks approx.

You need about 650 bricks this will also allow you room for a few cutting  mistakes (if you need to cut any)

This all depends on high wide and long the path is going to be. If you make the width in 4 inch increments like 32 or 36 or 40 inch wide and the length by 8 inch increments like 160 or 200 ft long this will be easy to calculate as your brick pavers are 4 inches wide by 8 inches long

6 feet wide is 72 inches - divided by 4 inches = 18 bricks across
6 feet wide is 72 inches - divided by 8 inches = 9 bricks across

24 feet long is 288 inches - divided by 4 inches = 72 bricks long
24 feet long is 288 inches - divided by 8 inches = 36 bricks long

You only need to use the 4 inches for the width and then the 8 inches for the length.

          18 + 36 = 54

          54 bricks are needed.

          4 x 8 = 32 sq. Inches

          6 x 24 = 144 sq. Feet x 12 inches = 1728 sq. Inches

          1728 / 32 = 54 bricks

          Another way is.

          4 inches x 3 bricks = 12 inches

          so 3 bricks x 6 feet = 18 bricks for the width

          8 inches x 3 bricks = 24 inches

          so 3 bricks = 2 feet

          2 feet / 24 feet = 12 feet x 3 bricks = 36 bricks for the length

          18 + 36 = 54 bricks

Don't forget the 1/4 inch mortar in the side and the bottom that you add to each brick. Also you need to start below the ground. The wall needs a "footing." The wall cannot just sit on the ground.
How and why would you build a wall 6 feet wide. Do you mean 6 feet tall?
