Basically you need 5-6 a*-c grades in GCSE (preferably with maths, engilsh and science) at least 2-3 a levels (including one with either maths, english or science) then do a teaching course at university ... You need at least 3 gcse's to get into university. Then while on the training course, you will be asked to do an ict equivelancy test, this is only necessary if you haven't got ict at gcse level. You can either do the teachers course at university, or you can get  a training job in a school where you earn whilst learning. This is a harder option to get onto because it is a payed job. I hope this is helpful.

I'm currently in year 11 and I am going to be going to sixthform/college in a few months to do my a -levels, I want to be a primary school teacher and I have found out that you need to get whatever a college or sixthform require for you to do a -levels, My sixthform requires 6A*-C Gcses including MATHS and English Language. This enables me to do a-levels, to become a primary school teacher you don't need any specific A-Levels so I'm going to take the things I enjoy, althought Health and Social Care is a good A-Level to chose as it looks better as it relates to children. After I complete my a-levels, in order to persue a career in Primary School teacher I need to go to university and complete a BED - Bachelor Education Degree in Teaching. Then I need to take ITT which is a course called "Initial Teaching Training" There are many routes you can take, e.g go to university and work part time, complete your degree then teach, or teach while training, the internet gives you soo much info about it. A good website is teach.gov   Good luck everyone hope you get to pursue the career you want x

To be an Infant school teacher you need:

5- A-C GCSE grades
A childcare or education (preferabbly both) A-Level or diploma
and optional is university, but if you take the diploma then you can go straight into teaching.

I know this through extensive research for myself, interviews, work experience and talking to various people who have become infant school teachers.
This information is 100% reliable.

Hope it helps x

The quality of education mainly depends on the work of a teacher. Education in every country is linked with the work of teacher. We can not think of education without teachers. If a teacher is good, the standard of education is surely improve in the past there have been very good teachers. That is why they produced such great scholars like Iqbal etc. now a days, the teacher have lost their grace. They are neither hard working nor scholar. A good teacher must be hardworking and punctual in his work. The civilized countries have teachers of great fame and scholarship.

An ideal teacher must have creative ideas. He must be sensitive and in agentive. He should move the hearts of the students and inspire them with noble ideas. He must make them warm hearted. He must make them lovers of humanity. The students of good teachers must be blessed with feelings of kindness. They must love people lat large. They should not hate any body for his cast, creed and religion. A good teacher is an ambassador of love and unity. He spreads the message of love, unity and tolerance among his students.

If you're in the UK you need a degree, then you need to do an ITT course that will give you Qualified Teacher Status, which you need to get a job in any state school. Most universities will let you combine your degree course with the teacher training. For secondary teaching you need an extra year to study your chosen subject, but for primary its not necessary.
For a degree you will need GCSEs and A levels, or a recognised equivalent

Hi buddy you thinking of becoming teacher. I love this profession and want to become one.

To become a school teacher you should do master degree (for good pay) and you should do one or two teaching courses like "Child Growth and development", "Child care" etc. Other then education you should have good patience, good teaching skills, should know how to handle a child and how to communicate with them.

It is governmnet requirement that primary and secondary teachers have a minimum of a C in GCSE in English Maths and Science. If one is looking into becoming a primary school teacher it does not matter what subjects you take at A level however it could work to your advantage if you take something that is child focused like health and social care or shows looks at the education system as it would give you an advantage when you start to apply to university/ so something like Sociology which I took at A levels would be appropriate. However if you looking into becoming a secondary school teacher (I want to be an English teacher) I would say minimum of B at GCSE minimum B at A level because in reality majority of top universities will not take applicants onto a honours course if they have not done it at A level or have very good grades at GCSE within that subject.Oh yes before I forget ALL prospective teachers have to achieve a 2:1 MINIMUM in their degree  to even be considered for PGCE

Teaching certification varies by state. You should check with your state to see what requirements they have in order for you to sit for certification. Also, I found a site that list a lot of career fields and the educational requirements for each at www.degreefinders.com The education section can be found here: www.degreefinders.com Wishes!

The qualifications needed to become a teacher at the school level require a basic graduation degree in the subject one wants to teach or a diploma along with a teacher qualification course or exam as the case might be as the specific qualifications that one may need may be different in different countries. The school itself more often than not conducts its own training program for short listed candidates who then may be hired on a temporary basis before being confirmed for a permanent post.

To become a teacher at the college level one needs to have completed one's post graduation studies along with passing the requisite qualification exams as the case may be, prescribed by the University to which the college may be affiliated. As in the schools, one is on probation for a certain period during which one's performance is evaluated after which one is confirmed as a permanent lecturer in the department; often research students are directly inducted as lecturers after completing their thesis.

To state a few universal pre-requisite qualifications one should have a good academic record throughout one's education as top grades would ensure better chances but also equally important would be your communication skills; so vital in the teaching profession as well as your ability to get along with people and of course loads of patience. Often good teachers are those who enjoy the process of teaching and interacting with students and have an intuitive knowledge base of the subject that they teach.

Hi I'm in year 11 now and I would also like to be a primary school teacher. From what I have heard it doesnt sound as though taking double science is neccissary. Do remember its when you are choosing your a-levles that all this matters but I would advise trying your best at your gcse's as they give you the options for your a-levles. Good luck

The first thing you should pay attention in order to become a teacher in the school is your qualification. If your education meets the criteria of the teacher then you can apply when any position is vacant.
