I work for the state, but we process a federal program. Because of that, I am under the HATCH ACT. We are not allowed to promote any political candidate on social media. That is why you will never see me answering a political question.....that, and because most of them lead to arguments anyway.
What authority do and can employers have exactly over what you can legitimately have or do for yourself in your personal life, and who do you take that up with (outside of your employers' organizations) if you disagree or have a dispute about it?
