I'm an atheist & my bf's family is Catholic. I have tried to discuss this but he says we'll figure it out. I worry about resentment from his family & the effects on my marriage & future children. I see problems arising. But he doesn't. What do I do?
He is not a devout Catholic, in fact he only attends church with his family on holidays. He is pretty laid back about it and accepting of me and my views. I just worry about how his family will react and whether or not they will accept me.

I too, am an unabashed atheist. My advice to you: Be yourself. You’ll be happier in the long run.

Think: Is your boyfriend a devout Catholic? If he is, you might have to face that things may not work out as you hope. Religion poisons everything, don’t let other people’s beliefs impede your happiness.
