Half day tickets to Universal Studios were reportedly discontinued on November 8th 2010. There are however a number of attractive discounts for Universal Studios Los Angeles and Universal Studios Orlando if you live in either Southern California or Florida.

  • Discounts for Southern California
California residents who have a zip code between 90000 and 93599 are entitled to exclusive discounts for Universal Studios in Hollywood. The cheapest available ticket is $62 for a day pass. That is a whopping $15 off the normal retail price and includes all the shows, rides and attractions. Yet for an extra $7 why not invest in a six-month value pass? Or for a further $10 on top of that enjoy the magic of Universal Studios for a whole year, with a 12 month value pass?

There is also a 12 month no black-out pass available which allows access all year round without any date restrictions, unlike the aforementioned value passes. You can also opt for the 12 month Premium Star Pass which in addition to all year round unrestricted access gives you free parking until 5pm and priority boarding at the Studio Tour. These will set you back $104 and $134 respectively, although an easy pay monthly option is available.

  • Membership Benefits
All of the membership packages include a $12 discount on guest tickets purchased, between 10% and 15% off food, drink and merchandise inside the park itself, and entrance via the exclusive members entrance at the front gate. The 12 month value pass adds to its advantages between 10-20% off at CityWalk, access to premieres and other preview events, and lowest pricing on the Halloween Horror Nights. The 12 month no black-out pass tacks on the advantage of unrestricted dates while the Premium Star pass includes the previously talked about priority boarding and free parking.

  • Discounts for Florida
The Florida based park has a slightly different pricing structure and some tickets allow access to multiple parks on the same day. For information on the Florida resident discounts for Orlando please visit this page.
