I had a quick look on eBay, and bidding is almost up on one that has received 74 bids and is currently at $406 dollars.
1) Bidding goes crazy in the last couple of minutes on eBay, so this precise model will probably sell for more.
2) Auction sites like eBay can artificially increase the value of an object, because the potential buyers might not know much about the availability of the Takamine pt 207 model.
Would you be willing to pay as much if you knew there were a dozen more ready to go on sale once this particular auction ended?
So the best advice is to shop around and speak to some experts.
