My mom stole my ssi again. I'm going to report her tomorrow but I think she's gonna win since I have no proof. What can I say?

If it's in her name then you don't have much hope to get satisfaction. She doesn't even have to deny taking it .. It's hers .. Not yours. It is meant to prove financial support for her so (as your care giving parent) she can provide for you.

If, however you have agreement with her that she hand it over to you to pay your own expenses .. Then you could take her to court and state your case. Best if you have a text or something in writing to price to details of your agreement.

Yes, they gave me a form about what I should know as a representative payee. Told me I have to open up a bank account and that's it. No, you're officially your own payee or no, you cannot be your own payee. I honestly didn't really ask questions in fear of looking stupid. I learned later on I'm supposedly to be given a form for my doctor to fill out to determine if I qualify to be my own payee. No one gave me anything, I don't really know.

My question was, what should I bring up when I report her. I don't think I have any proof. I have all my receipts of all my purchases online plus the money not spent saved up. I'm not sure if that's good enough. I can't involve other family members since they're on my mother side. They'll just lie for her or say they don't know. My mother lies very well so, I'm thinking she'll get away with it.

Sorry, to keep bring this up but I don't know what to do. I have all the receipts from my purchases, is that enough to win?

That sounds good. I'll look into it because, honestly she's a mess. She's 39 with no education, no job, no accomplisents. All she do is gossip and get carried by the government. She steals money from me and my uncle (she's both of our payees) and spends it on a bunch of junk. Really problematic :( i know more about being a payee then she does.

I don't think I can. All I have is my word. Everyone in my family knows its true but they'll just say they don't know since they don't want her to get in trouble. I'll report her and have them handle it but honestly if she just tells a lie and they take her word for it, I guess I can't do anything :/
