Have you ever used a raised bed garden ? Or container gardening ?? Any words of wisdom for growing vegs that way?

My first suggestion is to make sure you have drainage. No drainage you could rot your roots. Remember depth. Your garden should be tall / deep enough for what you are planting.  You don't plant carrots if the depth of your soil is only 4 inches.  Our first season was fantastic. We grew so much we gave most of it away. Second season was a complete failure. The squirrels told the raccoons, they signaled the big birds and the deer came a running. They waited till everything was just about ready to harvest. It was all destroyed in one night.

No third one yet. Perhaps if I build a small greenhouse I can put a raised garden in it.
