How do immigrants keep themselves grounded in their culture when their cultural values are being challenged?

They keep it to themselves and start accepting their new home. If they share their culture with their new home, and their new neighbors accept it, great!

If the people in their new home don't, then the immigrants should accept that fact and try to go along with the values of the land or they can head back to where they came from.
