How can I bring more natural light to a section of my garden that is unfortunately shielded by the house next door from the sun?

Since you probably can’t ask the neighbors to move their house a few feet, your best option is to use a mirror. It can’t get any more “natural” than reflected sunlight. Garden mirrors are designed to reflect the sun’s rays and redirect them to any section of the garden that needs additional lighting. These mirrors are typically large and heavy so that they don’t just fall over – and give you seven years’ bad luck – when the wind blows a little harder than normal.

Also, you might be interested to learn that garden mirrors have the ability to make small gardens appear larger than they are. This effect can be seen in decorative mirrors placed inside the house to make some of the rooms look more spacious. They give the illusion of space, and make any part of a home or garden look twice as beautiful.
