Also... Because it is a virus and not bacteria, as the previous answer slightly mentioned, antibiotics will not help -- for example: "the flu" constantly has newer, mutated versions because it, too, is a virus. To understand a little bit better... Check out this article.

It is THIRSTY [and possibly sick]! A dog's nose is naturally wet, and when it is dry that is a sign that the dog is dehydrated, and possibly ill. Get your dog to drink some water, and if the dryness doesn't start to dissipate, take your dog to the vet!!
