You can't get benefits if you are in jail because you can't actively look for work. But I think you can resume it when you get out

NO I was told by my unemployment office that if you got the extension that President Bush passed you CAN NOT get the one that President Obama passed so for us that used the Bush extension and when that runs out we are out of luck for anymore unemployment checks
