What is drug abuse and how do people abuse drugs?

Drug abuse is abusing a mind altering substance. People abuse drugs by using them regardless on how much it's damaging them.

I'm new on here, but have a question for the general public. Has anyone ever seen a Vern Fonk commercial where Vern (or Vern's twin brother) is playing a happy tune on a piano, then stops, and looks at the camera, where you see his eyes go black?
