You can use baby shampoo instead, Dawn soap is too harsh. Also you should use straight mineral oil to lube the eyes before shampooing cat in case soap got into the eyes you can rinse out without damaging the eyes. It's more fun to "turn a frown upside down"....it is easier to do with compliments rather than criticism. People get criticism and put down all the time. You want to stop rudeness or anger...say something nice instead of negative....that helps change people to be positive, plus realize if they are being impolite or negative.

Decide to have only win-win solutions. Set guidelines/ground rules to discuss the issue-no blaming or fault finding, talk only of your feelings and what you know...not what you ASSUME TO KNOW. Once discussed and resolved it doesn't come up again and it is not thrown back in each other's face.
