I can't remember the name of it, but its purple and it crystallizes them.  Now, if your going to be out of town for a few days, flush a sack of rock salt down the clogged pipe and leave it alone.  The salt will draw the moisture out of the roots and make them more brittle.

Its called a Bois De Arc.  Pronounced:  Bow dark.  The "fruit" are extreamly non- edible, when they fall, a white milky substance comes out.  Wildlife love the horse apples though.
