I don't know about the month and date, but Roald Dahl's sister, Astri, died in 1920 of appendicitis. (A inflammation of the appendix, which because of lack of  medical care at the time, killed her when Roald Dahl was 3 years old.) Weeks later, Roald Dahl's father, Harold, died from pneumonia.

Usually tigers (especially male tigers) do not want to share there bedding grounds. They usually sleep specifically wherever they want, but they prefer secluded areas away from other tigers. Like abandoned or damaged parts of the forests like under rotting or fallen trees.  Caves and dugouts seem to fit there liking.
