I started a medical transcription business 27 years ago and have worked from my home transcribing doctor's notes. I found it very rewarding but when my first grandbaby was born in 2006 I slowed down considerably to keep her for my daughter. When my grandson was born in 2009 I had to make a hard decision and am in semi-retirement keeping a 3 year old and 1 year old. I love them so much but miss considering myself a partner with my husband paying the bills and the companionship of other adults. You know how it is. When it comes to Mom, even your grown children kind of forget to say thanks.
