I don't know, but I'm prepared to bet it's a pretty good reason. What are your questions about?

Hi, I've just completed a round of moderating questions actually - so you timed your question perfectly!

All the questions removed from the site are in breach of our terms of use in some way.

You can find details about that here: //www.blurtit.com/terms_of_use (most of it is in section 3)

But just to give you an idea of the kind of questions I moderate, here are some examples:

  1. Questions that aren't actually questions. Things like "I am happy to be here."
  2. Questions with links in them (we may support image questions at a later date, but for now URLs in question titles looks messy and break the formatting of the h1 title).
  3. Questions set up to facilitate spammy answers. Question like "What do you think about the SEO agency SpammySeoAgency.com?" followed by an answer including links to the aforementioned site exist only for back linking to a site and aren't intended to add to our community experience. These pages will be deleted.
  4. qEwstions tHAT r iN BAD engliSH, FuNkY ChAraCtErZ OR ALL IN CAPS!!!
  5. Offensive questions
  6. Questions that don't make any sense.
  7. Questions that already exist on the site.

So that's about it really.

I try my hardest to be fair - and considering the majority of "problem questions" we receive are edited rather than deleted (for example, I am tempted to capitalize the first 'w' in your question, and move that auxiliary 'are' between 'why' and 'my' instead of where you've placed it), I think there's little room for complaint.

Having said that, mistakes can happen - so if you genuinely feel your questions are being removed unfairly, please let me know!

If you could give me an example of a question you've seen deleted, I can find out what's happened to it.

Thanks!
