I don't really know how much i use on a daily basis because i'm billed monthly for most of my utilities, but i would love to try living "off the grid" with maybe solar panels and a rain catchment system. I think it would be hard to do at first due to being used to such things but i think over time i might be able to do without....

I've lived in Houston, for over 30 years,  my highest electricity bill was $75, 25years ago. Now it between $25-35 a month.

I use my utility very wisely to suit my comfort and a ceiling fan.

I don't really know specifics but my electric bill plumits during the Winter. Our gas bill surprisingly stays about the same year round. We don't use much even when it's rather cold.

I don't use any firewood or gas in my home. Could I use less water and electric? Probably. I could stop watering my lawn, but then I would have to bathe my dogs more often. That hassle is not worth it.
