Water Nebula

What kind of gem is this? It's my mother's, but all she knows about it is that it's supposedly from India. Photos below

It looks like a Labradorite. It shows the schiller in metallic tints often associated with Labradorite. Some show green, blue and gray hues.

It's hard to tell from the picture but that's my best guess.

Labradorite isn't a super valuable gemstone in this color. Maybe $1.50 to $4.00 per carat.

I've always loved Labradorite stones. They have flaws that make each one different and the play of colors are what makes them beautiful. Your mothers stone would look great in a pendant.
