Since you mentioned daycare, i would go with the one that paid the bills. There is no way I would put myself and child in a position that if something unexpected happened it would cause a domino effect of possibly losing everything, by taking a job that is going to make things tight. My happiness would be tied into my child's security. You can always keep looking for job that can do both.
What would you choose and why? The job that paid the bills and gave you a chance to set yourself up - but bored you to death. Or - the job that you will more than likely enjoy but that will barely even cover the cost of daycare... Help!
No job has to be forever. So, if I had the opportunity to have a job that paid my bills but I was bored, I can live with that. That job can give me skills that I can use at my next job.
Each job can be used as a stepping stone to getting the ideal job that you want. Maintain a good attitude, get your work done as quickly and efficiently as possible, do extra tasks without asking, presuming you can do them at all, and represent the company that you're working for in a positive light.
