I thought this great nation was at the forefront of technology. So, why can't our government seem to stop all these hacks that are taking place?

Have you ever read about Blackhats and Whitehats ? Bad hackers and good hackers that can trace them. Only one country in the world has more cyber hackers than we do and that's China. You need to do some reading so you can better understand the ways that hacking is done. We've been hacking other countries for years and some of the others are just catching up while China has a whole Cyber attack division just to create chaos. The thing with hacks is they are like a water leak. As soon as you plug one they find a way to leak again. No country or organization is invulnerable to a good hacker. It's the sign of the times and media blow up !

Well, you first problem was thinking this country was at forefront of technology. The Asian markets have been right there with us if not ahead of us for quite awhile. So have many of the European markets.
