You choose the job that you will enjoy the most. Money isn't as much a factor as happiness is.
I would like to either be an orthopedic spine surgeon, or a neurosurgeon. I'm more interested in neurosurgery, but overall orthopedic spine surgeon salary beat it by like 50,000. Which should I target my college classes towards?
Well, you already answered your own question then. If you're more interested in neurosurgery, then go for it. I always think it's better to do the one you're more interested in even though you also have an interest in the other one. If the neurosurgery salary is decent, I guess you should go for it again. Also, my thoughts when choosing a career is "interests beat money 'cause money isn't everything." But then again... As for orthopedic spine surgeon, I think it's even better considering the salary plus your interest in it even though it's not as huge as neurosurgery. I'm sorry if this isn't very helpful, but decisions like these are to be decided by the person, themselves. A career choice is very important, and I don't think it should be decided by another person. Good luck with your career.
From,
a person who still can't decide their future
Well you either choose the career that will make you the most money and have outside interests where you can enjoy that money.
Or
You choose the career in which you will be happy every working day of your life because you are actually interested in the work you do.
Remember you are a long time working.
Follow your heart.
What do you feel you can put
your heart in. Its sad that in this century,
you can't be two people.
