Well, yes---but in the same way we have become too dependent on steel.

(If we had stayed more basic---using wood for construction, we wouldn't have skyscrapers and some bridges.)

What is more problematic is that we tasked the computers to perform basic functions tht we should have maintained our individual proficiency in.

I think that we are.  I know people who do everything on their computers, and then get stressed out when they lose all their documents because they forgot to back it up.

Yes,from small calculation to rocket science we are using computers,it saves significant amount of time and calculate with great accuracy,human can do error in calculations but computer won't that's why we are more dependent on computers.

Definitely .. We are losing our ability to even think for ourselves .. Seems we are becoming a lobotomized society .. Dependant and controlled by electronic devises
