I went into the dealership to buy my first used car which I fell in love with. My dad went with me because I was a minor. We agreed on a price, gave a deposit and made an appointment to pick up the car the next day. When we arrived, there were all kinds of "extra" costs added, like cleaning, rotating tires, adding antifreeze, etc. It all added up to a few hundred dollars. When my dad balked at the costs, the salesman said "too bad, we already have your deposit". My father, about the size of an NFL linebacker stood up, walked around the desk and picked up the salesman by his armpits and said he had a choice, give back the deposit or take off those extra costs OR face the consequences. We got the deposit back and walked out.

Don't you wish we could go back in the day where that was okay? Now a days we be tossed in jail for threatening bodily harm or assult...... that is unless we are protesting then as long as you are considered antifa then you are rewarded for assault and battery.

This didn't happen to us, but my husband's coworker just told him this story.  Father and son-in-law were car shopping, and the dealer was avoiding using the passenger door.  He kept trying to get them inside to look at papers.  After awhile, the father sent the young man in saying, "Go on in and keep the salesman busy.  Just play along."  Sure enough, there was water damage apparent under the passenger seat.

Mine started picking up after i got out of high school started noticing hidden messages or people mirroring me. Got my cdl a then drove for refriderated over the road had a dog at the time that had one ice colored eye and one brown to black eye she was a pitbull. Then my headligts on semi copied my dogs eyes one of my headlights would go out i delivered for meats and went to national beef ibp and cargill. Well on 9/11/2013 my dog died on that day i was over the road on the east coast i was upset. We got another dog shortly after that was female got her at spca didnt know much about her fell in love with her. I went back over the road for a couple weeks call family up my mom said she said sashas in heat.....im like ok got home still in heat my family then left me all alone with the dog they stepped out. Then after awhile they came back and said should we get the dog fixed. After that we moved out to lockport ny read something online and said something about the dog and after that it mentioned the car dealership and everything that happened to that person exactly what i went through. They take the red yellow green placards off that are NYS business codes for dealerships off building kept procrastinating when the car would be done in shop acting like they sold the car to someone else they yelled at me and where acting shady. Got car and after that they put a scare into me so much no i suffer with a mental illness and the same thing happened to the other person. Then you get hidden messages about girls and animals and its sexual and it hasnt stopped ever since and has been 2 years since ive had my car.

I dont think it will solve my problems right now theres not much i can do i know i can get rid of it but im so far in debt i dont need more hassle im not home im usually gone for like 1 1/2 to 2 weeks before i come home plus i need to clean and fix it up alittle bit. I think ill use as much of my car as possible and get it paid off...time will tell then see what i can do i need to target my loans and credit cards and get that taken care of. I would want a newer car not older and have to keep fixing it i had a 95 saturn and had nothing but problems. Ill wait to get a newer car or see in the near future i have goals i want to meet first.

The first and ONLY car dealer we went to saw our desperation and stuck it to us with a 24% APR! We had no clue what an APR was! We learned the hard way when the price of the car ended up doubling in the end. SMH! That butthole took a Hawaii vacation on this sale. We were stupid! Never again. We have gone in with in the last two years with more knowledge since then.... And walked right on out when the dealer became pushy and dishonest. Oh yah and we played one dealer like a fiddle knowing without a doubt we were not interested in buying from him but his lot had a brand new car out which Yang and I wanted to test drive. The car was not all it was hyped up to be.

Car dealers know what they are doing and yes they did take advantage of you. It's a shame. All you can do is learn from this mistake and be watchful/mindful of it next time. My brother in law was a car dealer before.... he was very good at it. Every time I called him we had a joke when I'd ask him how he is doing I always added "have you found another SUCKERRRRRRR!!!!???!!" And we would laugh cuz yes he was good at finding suckers. He ended up quitting cuz it was too dishonest of work.

What is sad is when someone in your shoes snap. I wouldn't want to be around for that one! When you get your self confidence you will begin to fade away from being the one everyone takes advantage of because you will see your self worth. ☺

Mine was a frustrating paperwork dance. The dealership did not have the exact model we wanted (lets call the one they had as "A".) so they would get it from another dealership within an hour (lets call that one "B"), fine I said. We went to a long lunch, returned and the van (B) was there beautiful. We filled out all the paperwork, paid and went home. No sooner than we got home I get a call from the dealership sales manager. The paperwork I signed had the VIN number from Van "A" they re-did the paperwork and asked if I could stop by the following morning and sign the new paperwork and bring in the old, sure no problem. Next morning on the way to work I stopped in signed the new and gave them back the old. 48 hours later I get another call, this time from the owner of the dealership. Full of apologies. The second set of paperwork I signed did not have the Vin number for "A" or "B" but yet a third van "C" that was sitting in the second dealership. "C" was selected as the one they would send down for me originally.  All three has similiar number. This time I took a picture of the Vin plate on the dash board. When I went in to the dealership there was the owner all smiles and apologies again. I asked, "If this happens again what are you going to give me for my troubles?" "Oh it won't happen again, I assure you" (all smiles). If it does I will give you a check for the first two months payment". I looked around and asked if the salles people and the other customer heard him. They all said yes. I am so glad I had the picture of the vin number on my. When I compared the numbers before I signed I discovered two sets of numbers had been inverted. So my first two payments were paid for.
