Understanding the difference between job context and job content won’t necessarily help you find a good job, but it can help you make better job and career decisions.  I see too many people base their job choices on context factors and underestimate the impact of job content regarding job satisfaction.  The perfect job doesn’t exist, but starting to assess/evaluate job opportunities through a slightly different lens is a small step in the right direction.

job content are the factors controlled by the individual oneself like performance, recognition, autonomy etc. Job content factors are directly related to individual's job. job context are the factors controlled by the organization like work condition, base salary, company policies etc.
