I was wondering the same thing when I was searching the market for shopfitters in London last year. I found that the most reliable markers of a good shoplifting company were probably the following things:

- Relevant qualifications and accreditations
- Referrals from businesses similar to your own, or from trusted friends in the industry
- A well-considered quotation which includes a detailed proposal and the full price
- Experience/number of years in providing shopfitting services.
- A strong understanding of your industry, your customers, and your brand
- Demonstrable up-to-date knowledge of the latest shop design trends.
- Technical expertise

Based on the above, I ended up choosing to work with Ultimate Commercial Contractors Ltd after ruling out a number of other firms.
