When someone is moving/leaving do you prolong the good bye or say good bye quickly to get the pain over with?

Today we have a huge part of our family moving out of state. I have been dreading today's good bye. So I am milking the good bye by "forgetting" to bring them their cards earlier so I can see them again. My husband is the opposite. He said he doesn't want to say good bye more then once. Which got me thinking, I am slowly pulling off the "band aid" and my husband just ripped it off! 😅 Which one are you? (I think its funny because one of my children are going with me to drop off the cards stalking every minute and the other one is staying home with daddy saying "why make a long good bye.")

I don't like to wallow in the pain of Longs goodbyes so I like to get it over with quickly, I'm all for giving that Band-Aid a quick yank.

I cannot bear to get separated from people love, whether
they will return in a little while or after a long time. Therefore, I bid them
goodbye quickly and go away before they leave. However, it is easy for me to
deal with their departures when they inform me in advance.
