Why does 1/2" ratchet has more leverage than a 3/8" or 1/4".Please don't say that it has long span?

Normally smaller bolts require less torque and less leverage. If you need more leverage, you can put a piece of pipe over the handle of your ratchet to make the handle longer for better leverage. I've done that many times.
