You are not going to please everyone, so do what you and your future spouse want to do. It is your day. Also something will not go as planned. Do not waste time and energy being upset by that. Adjust things accordingly and focus on the joy of celebrating with family and friends.

At my wedding my mother was suppose to bring the cake server she received as a wedding present. The serving part is intricately etched silver and it has a beautiful hand painted porcelain handle. Instead we hand to use a plastic one that the bakery sent with the cake. Other than my mother and me, not one person noticed or cared.

Don't  sweat the small things. Something WILL go wrong and you just have to roll with it and surround yourself with a good support system.  Concentrate on what brought you to the day and not the day itself.
