Labs get this from swimming in cold water...it's called cold or drop tail...usually will work itself out

It's common...fly strike...use a spray called flies off...it will repel the flies and give your poor dog some much needed relief!

My dad's chesapeake had the same thing and it turned out to be a yeast infection in her ear...you can get over the counter ear cleaners at any pet supply store...but you may need to see your vet for something to get rid of the yeast

The cocker/basset mix is known as a Hush Basset...the name comes from the Hush Puppies logo...they are a lovely breed
