Paul Fuller answered question 6/18/2011 Is The Cheetah A Part Of The Dog Family Or The Cat Family? Cheetah is not one of the big cats. The "big cats" are lion, tiger, leopard and jaguar. Cheetahs, like cougars, might be pretty big, but they are not big cats. Big cats roar!
