In my experience, it can also be due to blocked/clogged/infected anal scent glands.  Have your dog checked out by a vet.  Often, the vet can clean out the glands, removing excess matter and proscribe an antibiotic.  (Trust me, you don't want to do this job yourself.  You will need to be there just to hold … Read more
