Apria Sheetal Vinanti answered question 12/21/2008
What Cultural, Political, And Social Stereotypes Have You Had To Face?
Being a Christian in India. It is so hard, you can't even imagine. Sometimes it brings me to tears, people are so mean about it...but I trust in the Lord and that's all that matters.

I am Apria Sheetal Vinanti, also known as Apri_she8. This name describes me because I appreciate all that I am given in life, even the small things. I am sixteen years old and I live in India, where I was born, with my mother, father, two older brothers, and a younger sister. I am a very curious person and I love to make friends. I am new to Blurtit, so I am learning. Originally, I was born into a strict, traditional family that believes in Sikhism (a form of Hinduism), but I have accepted Jesus Christ as the savior and I am a Christian (very unusual for a girl living in India). My parents believe strongly in multiple gods and arranged marriages, practices that I disagree with, which sets me apart from them. I am hoping to meet new people on this website and to share my culture with others. ---Apri_she8
