Yes you can. It is a very slim chance and if you are you really need to find out cause the IUD can cause problems with baby.
It will be really red and possibly oozing some green discharge and be very painful.
Before you think it's an infection it might just need a good cleaning. Take a cotton swab and some rubbing alcohol and clean really good at least twice a day for about a week and it still has an oder see your physician.
