answered 3/18/2010 My Cat Is Not Eating Much. All She Does Is Drinks Water And Eats Very Little. What Would Be The Cause. She Use To Eat Allot And Not Very Very Little. This could be diabetes and/or kidney failure. Hyperthyroidism is common in older cats and will cause them to drink a lot of water too. Take the cat to a reputable veterinarian for blood work and a check up.
