Its all down to what you think is best as I would say a mixture of all elemants for a better chance so if someone went in with all water types then you could kick their a** with your grass type   Hope I helped!

We all have diffrent point of veiws and leganderys are good but it does also depend on ur taste in pokemon i porsonally think dragonites the best even though hes not a lengandery, it also bepends on how well you train them and their nature so theres not really a best pokemon.  

After you defeat red you can just do all the little things......(list below) catch all  legendaries mew,mewtwo,legend birds,dogs,celibi...etc......
