answered question 8/24/2007 My 1999 Dodge Durango Transmission Won't Change Gears, What's The Problem? Have the dealership check your transmission and the tranny belt. There is a piece that holds the tranny belt in place that has recently broke off of my 99 durango and now our tranny is shot. we were having the same problems. good luck
