No, it doesn't mean you suck. My coach usually puts the players out there that can throw the farthest. So I get put out there a lot because my team sucks at having a cut off player, so I have to be able to throw all the way in.

It depends on how long you've been playing or if its your first year, I've been playing for 9 years, and I love pitching, and first base. But if your just starting out, I would say, left field or center field.
