Yep. When my youngest son left home, he left his pet tarantula here. It took me some time but I found him a good home. Good riddance.
Have you ever had to give a pet away?
My childhood was fraught with getting animals and giving them back to the shelter. My parents were way too unstable. It was hard to go through that. I haven't had to do it as an adult. For me any pet that I get is mine for life, even if we have to live in a cardboard box under the freeway overpass. We are down to one cat now. Haven't been this low on pets since before the kids were born.
