I know what do you mean Amala7!! But I just don't like to talk about myself online. It's just you can't trust anyone in no time. A situation happened with me because of giving my information online, and since then, I've never given any information (name, age, etc.) about me online. Hope you understand.

its just that i realized a lot of ppl do that, not ONLY online but in visual communication......

I get that a lot... If they are not comfortable with an open conversation with you sharing simple things like a name then maybe they don't deserve to know about you. Sounds harsh, but hey you gotta draw the line somewhere :)  My real name is Ryan, not really a girls name so I go by Ryanna...

I have a friend (girl).. In the same name....just that it is spelled in Malay but it sounds the same....RIAN

Vanakkam! It's just a cultural difference, Amala. What's normal to you, perhaps your Indian side, may be asking about families and stuff that seems rather probing to US Americans. If you decide not to leave us, drop me a line. I'm trying to teach myself Tamil and would love to make more south Asian friends.

It is that they do ask name for it is rude to call ppl other that their respective name....

They show interest in us but when it comes to then its a 'no no'.....

Because they're afraid you won't like the answer or they are ashamed about the answer.  Or there just overly shy.
