The chat section is a place where members can chat with other members....it is not however, a place to ask questions....and there is definitely no spam to be posted anywhere.
Is the 'chat' feature just a free running comment (or question) section?
Actually it's for people to just "chat" with each other. It's OK to comment but I try to encourage them to Ask questions on the site itself. A lot of people know each other here and we usually say " Hello " and such on Chat.
