I'm not looking forward to the holidays this year. Does that make me a scrooge?

Nah. If you're a Scrooge then so am I. We celebrated Christmas big time while the kids were growing up but we don't need to do that any more. These days it's just an inconvenience.

Here's a little verse that one of my friends once wrote. (I can't remember all of it but you'll get the idea.)

I hope it rains on Christmas eve,
I hope it rains like heck:
So Santa Claus will prang his sleigh
And break his bloody neck.

I hope it rains on Christmas day,
I hope it bloody pours:
So all those rotten little kids
Will have to stay indoors.

There's a lot more of it than that but it gets even more depressing as it goes on.

Thanks, Rav. The man who wrote that is a most unpleasant fellow. Racist. Dislikes anybody who disagrees with him. But he sent me that one Christmas and it stuck in the memory,
