You can actually buy antenna's from Amazon that pick up High Definition broadcasts that Local studios HAVE to do.
Part of their regulation is that that they need to Broadcast over airwaves their television shows. The down side is that it is only local and most antenna's have a range of 50 to 100 Miles, so if you do not have affiliates within that range then you are out of luck.
I have been thinking of dropping all accept internet and do both Netflix, HuLu and antenna for my viewing enjoyment.
