The best defense against any "spells" or "curses" or "psychic attacks" ... Is disbelief in such nonsense, and science.
Ask mountain man he wears aluminum foil
The tradtional method of beating off psychic attack is known as "bell book and candle".
Construct a foil hat like the one in the picture but, unlike this young lady, you need to put little pockets all around it, just big enough to support birthday cake candles. Light the candles before you leave home and you'll walk in the light, safe from marauding werewolves, wizards, witches, wargs, waldgeists, and will-o-the-wisps.

If that doesn't work, you'll need to buy a bell. Get one of those big ones the town criers used while they were waling about, looking important and yelling, "Now hear this, now hear this..." It was a bit of a waste, really, because all you could hear was the bloody bell. No self-respecting psychic entity would put up with that. You'll be perfectly safe.
If worse comes to worst you need to resort to the book. I recommend one of those 19th century leather-bound King James Bibles with the thick cardboard covers, They're pretty heavy so you'll need to be fit to carry it very far from home. When the psychic attack occurs, all you need to do is bash it with the book, and the same time shouting, Avast! Or Away! Or some other traditional banishment. You'll be fine.
Tuck duck and roll ... This is what I do in any awkward situation... It works.
Believe and Receive.
Listen to your mind.
