Otis, Ambien is known to give people who take it very vivid and strange dreams. As far as risperdal, I've not heard of anyone having that type of side effect from taking it. My guess is the Ambien is the culprit! If the side effects bother you, try some melatonin for sleep.
I agree with Angela Otis. My brother took ambien once. He said he looked up and swore his wife was flying around hanging on to the ceiling fan. His dream was that vivid and real. He never took another one again. Talk to your doctor..... If they give you dreams you find disturbing instead of the ones you are having now! LOL!
